“Workolics” edition

A documentation of the exhibition of the same name showed in November 2023 by Thomas Buswell and Paul F. Millet. This publication documents the exhibition Workolics, which ran from Thursday 2 November to Friday 10 November at Bismarckstrasse 67, 76137 Karlsruhe. The teal monochrome edition is a 52 pages risograph printing led by the Vienna Printing Cooperative. The booklet features photographs by Hélène Janicot and essays by Benno Hauswaldt , Frederic Hirse and Donghuyk Lee written in post-production. These essays bear witness to a creative process that is self-sustaining, as established habits are called into question. The Kafkaesque setting of this workplace, imagined by the two artists, was used by visitors. A strong smell of coffee or stale beer wafted through the space, and chairs were moved around, forming circles, face to face. The situation sums up a certain mistrust of the endless queues, one eye piercing the windows of the new concrete towers, watching people running kilometers without moving geographically, filtered air is purer inside.
